Himekami (姫神): Moon Water album (1989)

Himekami (姫神) is a Japanese musical group. The name is derived from Mount Himekami in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture. The group was founded in 1980 by composer Yoshiaki Hoshi (星吉昭) as Himekami Sensation (姫神せんせいしょん, Himekami Senseishon),and includes synthesizer player Yoshiki Hoshi (星吉紀) and vocalists Wakako Nakajima, Tomoko Fujii, Junko Shiwa, and Yoriko Sano. The group changed its name to Himekami in 1984.

A few years ago, i came across this Japanese musical group which composes new age music from a blog. One of the compostition in the album Moon Water, "Distant Sun" was uploaded and the music had impressed me. After some searching i able to get the songs of the whole album.

Their musics are mesmerising although i just listen to 1 of the album out of 20 to 30 albums they had published for the past 20+ years.

For those who like great musics, i highly recommend Himekami's. Yet, i am going to search for their original albums which not easy to find in Malaysia.
